Margin Lending IT Technical Business Analyst – IT COO Office

Saxo Bank IT consist of over 450 IT professionals based in Copenhagen and Delhi who, using latest technologies and agile methodologies; design, build and run the Saxo Bank award winning, global multi-asset trading platform. Our specialty is within capital markets with focus on; high reliability, large volumes, low latency and a world class, cloud-based experience for retail, institutional and white label clients.

Our in-house designed and built Saxo Bank trading system handles:

  • over 25,000 concurrent online trading clients 24 hours per day / 5,5 trading days per week
  • more than 160,000 unique monthly users to our social trading portal
  • in excess of  400,000 price feed updates per second
  • intraday execution and booking of up to 900 trades per second
  • over 1,000,000 trade transactions processed daily

THE JOB

The position is within the IT COO function and you will report to the Head of IT Programs and Projects.  We are a team of program\project managers and technical business analysts responsible for running the IT projects that have an impact on multiple functions within the IT organisation. 

You will work closely with the business development team and business owners to scope the requirements to launch a margin lending business and bring back to the IT organisation for delivery. 

As a greenfield project the position offers opportunity to influence how the team evolves to ensure we are set-up to support the new margin lending business and its product roadmap

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the business owner develop business requirements for the launch of a margin lending product and work within the IT organization to support and help drive the solution design, development, and testing phases of the project
  • Build an understanding of Saxo’s IT environment in order to drive a more efficient analysis, ensuring we are leveraging existing platforms as much as possible as we introduce margin lending capability
  • Be a business domain evangelist and help educate your tech colleagues about the new business, its value chain, and product set
  • Have a long term strategic view on where the business, product or platform is moving, both within Saxo and in the industry as a whole

YOUR PROFILE

As a person you have a positive attitude, with the ability to work well under pressure and perform comfortably in fast paced environment, whilst still achieving targets.

Further we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Have deep knowledge and be seen as a business expert in Margin Lending & Collateral Management with detailed understanding of key business processes across Credit, Risk, Compliance, Operations with respective technology flows. 
  • Previous experience of delivery on greenfield projects or new product offerings is highly desired
  • 10+ years’ experience in financial services, with proven ability to work in a global organization across multiple time zones and jurisdictions with experience working in an offshore\onshore environment
  • 3+ years’ experience of working in an Agile environment with proven skills in writing well-organized, clear and concise user stories making it easier for the development team to implement. Develop a value-driven framework with emphasis on the “why” for effective user stories that expresses the business value intended to provide.
  • Proactive from the get go and comfortable navigating an organisation with minimal direction
  • You possess good communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
