Responsible for Credit Analysis in Group Credit

The job.

Saxo Bank’s Group Credit is responsible for the Credit Risk Management of all clients and business units within the Saxo Bank group. Within Saxo Bank A/S, Group Credit acts as first line of defense. Group Credit must enforce the formal frame work towards employees and clients.

In order to support the associated duties, Group Credit must maintain an infrastructure that enables Group Credit to perform the necessary tasks including data capture, a smooth application process including templates and tools and relevant reporting to management.

At present Saxo Bank holds an open position as responsible for Credit Analysis. The person reports to the Head of Group Credit and will be responsible for the credit analysis and general handling of all credit applications up for renewal.

This is a unique opportunity to join a bank holding business relations with clients in more than 50 countries around the world. Types of direct clients cover financial institutions like banks and brokers but also in selected countries private clients.

The Credit Analysis responsible will hold a mandate covering the following areas:

  • Take responsibility for credit assessment of all credit applications up for renewal
    • Handle all (re. annual credit cycle)  credit applications including
      • Preparing and analyzing all clients up for renewal
      • Assign ratings and handle change of line terms
      • Based on Credit Granting Authority approve or prepare a recommendation for approval. This includes ensuring approval is retrieved from management in Saxo Bank
      • Ensuring applications are documented and filed
      • Monitor daily credit reports and credit excesses and act accordingly.
      • Manage the quarterly reporting cycles to Board of Management and Board of Directors.

Your profile.

The ideal candidate has the following competencies.

  • Solid credit background from a larger financial institution
  • Preferably experience in analyzing financial institutions
  • Strong in verbal and written English
  • Ideally has experience in developing IT solutions
  • Focus on optimizing processes with a personal drive to get things done         
  • Ability during 2020 to take project responsibility due to introduction of new IT setup aimed at optimizing the application process
  • Manage student participating in application process
  • Flexible and able to work in a dynamic ever changing environment
