Platform Manager

In this role you become a key player in the cooperation between IT and business stakeholders within Saxo Bank’s partner business with a mandate to facilitate changes in collaboration with commercial and development teams. The role calls for a strong business domain knowledge - ideally in the area of asset management – which is crucial in the interpretation of business objectives and initiatives presented by partners and the subsequent translation into features and user stories.

What differentiates this position from other positions within the general platforms team is that it is highly focused on the needs of Saxo Bank’s partners and partner employees in particular – even more than the end-clients’ needs. A Saxo Bank “partner” is typically either an “Introducing broker” (typically a broker, financial advisor or asset manager) or a “White Label Client” (a bank). Therefore it is a big plus if you have significant experience in or understanding of the needs of the partners’ various employee profiles (such as portfolio manager, relationship manager, administration officer, sales trader, compliance officer – and similar) and their typical needs and challenges in their day-to-day jobs. Very ideally you have already participated hands-on in the digital transformation of the operating model of an asset manager or similar across multiple functional areas.

 

As a Global Platform Manager for partner tools

  • You are an energetic and motivated person who can work in a structured manner as part of a multidisciplinary team and who can also work independently and think and act out of the box.
  • Ideally you have relevant experience from an asset manager or a bank servicing asset managers, as these are the primary types of partners Saxo Bank services.
  • You have a good understanding of the online trading domain, its processes and the underlying business model.
  • Your understanding of the latest developments in the business and technology, ideally within asset management in particular, allows you to propose structural improvements aimed at moving closer to an industry-leading customer experience for Saxo Bank’s partners.
  • You are comfortable collaborating and reaching across teams and functional borders and serve as a liaison when needed. You are able to easily connect and align stakeholders on all levels of the Saxo Bank organization.
  • You demonstrate understanding of IT concepts and have relevant knowledge of the IT landscape – but no requirement to be able to code.
  • You are able to positively influence business and IT strategies locally or and at a group level.
  • You report on progress, value delivery, financials and escalate when needed.
  • You give and ask for constructive feedback.

Proven track record

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (within area of Finance, Economics or IT)
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken
  • Multiple years of experience within the business domain; ideally within asset management.
  • Demonstration of deep functional knowledge of the business domain (end-to-end); knowing how business processes utilize IT solutions.
  • Experience/affinity with IT (and Agile methodologies) is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a product manager/owner for financial market platforms is a plus.
